Age Recommendation: Grade 2-4
Bixby Alexander Tam, best known as BAT, is a boy who sometimes finds the world a little overwhelming. He doesn't like loud sounds and has trouble knowing how to interact with people, but he loves animals and wants to be a veterinarian one day, just like his mom. When BAT's mom brings home an orphaned skunk kit, BAT falls in love and does everything he can to prove he is an excellent skunk caretaker, so his mom will let him keep the skunk. Read this sweet story to find out whether BAT gets to keep the baby skunk.
I am a book loving elementary school teacher librarian. This blog reflects my personal opinions about the books I have read and is intended to be used by students and teachers who are looking for a book recommendation.
