Age Recommendation: Grade 4+
Alex and Conner are twins whose life has recently changed because of the death of their father. They've had to move to a rental house and their mom is working double shifts to pay the bills. On their birthday, their grandma gives them a special fairy tale book that has been in their family for years. Soon the twins find themselves in the Land of Stories meeting familiar characters like Cinderella, Rapunzel and Jack. As exciting as it is to be in a fairy tale world, Alex and Conner must find a way back home, so begin collecting items for the Wishing Spell. Readers will enjoy following Alex and Conner on this exciting and unexpected adventure! I found this book to be a quick and fun read. I now know why students read through these books so quickly.
I am a book loving elementary school teacher librarian. This blog reflects my personal opinions about the books I have read and is intended to be used by students and teachers who are looking for a book recommendation.
