After Dulcie’s dad dies in an accident, Dulcie’s mom decides to pack up and move to California. Unhappy with the move, Dulcie drives herself back home to her grandfather in Connecticut. Although the events of this book are, at times, not very realistic, Dulcie is an enjoyable character to read about.
