Genre: Non-Fiction
Age Recommendation: Grade 4+
This book tells the stories of 10 amazing women you've probably never heard of. One example of this is young Ttha'naltther, who as a teenager, struggled through difficult conditions to bring peace between the Dene and Nehiyawak people. The challenges these women faced and persevered through will leave you in awe. I highly recommend this book to those who would like to learn more about some of Canada's unknown heroes.
I am a book loving elementary school teacher librarian. This blog reflects my personal opinions about the books I have read and is intended to be used by students and teachers who are looking for a book recommendation.
