"The Greenies" is based on the actual experiences of Jewish children who came to Canada after World War 2 through the Canadian Jewish War Orphans Project. The story is told from different perspectives, both male and female characters. These young people have survived terrible atrocities and now struggle to fit in and make sense of the new world they find themselves in. This book gives an insight into a part of Canadian history I was not previously aware of.
