"Fire On Headless Mountain" is the story of siblings, Virgil, Kaitlyn, and Joshua and their journey to Little Lost Lake. The siblings are on this trip in the ancient family camper van, Rusty, to spread their mother's ashes at one of her favourite spots. Unfortunately, Rusty breaks down, Kaitlyn seriously hurts her ankle, and a forest fire is on its way. The story follows the siblings' struggle to get out of the burning forest. Although I'm certain many readers would find this story exciting and entertaining, I was not a fan of the book. Joshua is the oldest of the siblings at age 19, Lost Lake is extremely remote, and their father did not come along on this trip. As a parent, I find this unbelievable and this did ruin the book for me. If you enjoy adventure and danger filled realistic stories, you should check out "Fire On Headless Mountain".
