DJ is in the seventh grade and has just transferred to Ella Fitzgerald Middle School. DJ is looking for a fresh start and a low profile and is doing a fine job of this, until his best friend, Conor, gets himself transferred too. DJ is a planner and loves the challenge of plotting elaborate and seemingly unachievable solutions to a variety of sticky situations. DJ warns Conor that he is done with his old ways and tells Conor that he should keep himself on the right track. Unfortunately, Conor crosses the wrong guy at Ella Fitz and DJ has no choice but to come to Conor's rescue. The pair have only two weeks to collect 100,000 arcade tickets or Conor will suffer the consequences of his actions. How will they pull this off? Who will help them? Read the book to find out.
I am a book loving elementary school teacher librarian. This blog reflects my personal opinions about the books I have read and is intended to be used by students and teachers who are looking for a book recommendation.
