Daisy Kildare is one of a group of babies born in Dimly, Manitoba thirteen years ago who got dusted with "reidium" while sleeping in the hospital's nursery. Dr. Fassbinder noticed the glowing babies and has tested them yearly to determine their "giftedness". It isn't until Daisy's mom moves them to British Columbia and Daisy attends an art camp, that she realizes she has some "sketchy" superpowers. With the help of her new friend, Kip, Daisy works to fight the evil forces that lurk on the campgrounds. There are four books in The Almost Epic Squad series and each is written by a different author and features one of the Dimly babies. This is an interesting story with plenty of action to keep the reader engaged.
