Seven year old Sophie is sent to England on a Kindertransport before WW2 to stay with her mother’s penpal. Sophie stays in England for seven years and although she never stops thinking about her parents, she has made a life for herself in England. After the war, Sophie must deal with the possibility of having to return to Germany, a country she no longer knows.
