The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen By: Susin Nielsen

Genre: YA/Realistic Fiction
Age Recommendation: Grade 7-8

This book is a definite mature read. Henry's journal is supposed to help him deal with the loss of his brother, Jesse. Jesse was the victim of high school bullying. The effects of the bullying led Jesse to make a very serious choice. A choice that means Henry is left trying to cope with the loss of his brother and adapt to live in a new town. This is a very emotional page turner.
