Edward is a china rabbit. He was given to Abilene by her grandmother. Edward is only interested in himself and Abilene's grandmother feels he is a disappointment. When Abilene takes Edward on a voyage across the ocean, some boys toss him around and he ends up at the bottom of the sea. This is where Edward's real adventure begins, as does his journey to learning how to love. This is a nice story, with a few touching and sad scenarios.
