Stones On A Grave is one of the books in the Secrets series. There are seven books in the Secrets series and each book tells the story of a different girl who lived at an orphanage in the town of Hope. When the orphanage catches fire and burns to the ground, homes are found for the youngest girls, but the seven oldest girls are sent to find their way in the world. This story is Sara's, who the headmistress gives a package containing a Star of David necklace and paperwork explaining that she was born in a displaced person's camp in Germany shortly after World War Two. On the advice of the headmistress, Sara embarks on a journey to Germany in the hope of finding out about her family. This is an enjoyable and easy read that I highly recommend to those who enjoy historical or realistic fiction.
I am a book loving elementary school teacher librarian. This blog reflects my personal opinions about the books I have read and is intended to be used by students and teachers who are looking for a book recommendation.
